East Carter's 8th grade upset #1 seed and previous unbeaten in league play Verity Middle 35-34 tonight in the large school semi-final game at Ironton. The finals will be East v. Mason Co. 8th grade and Rowan Co. v. Mason Co. 7th grade. Rowan defeated Boyd Co. by 12 this evening. The finals are slated for Monday 2/22 at Ironton. This is due to East and Mason as well as Verity playing in the KBA state this weekend.
