ORLANDO, Fla. -- Tiger Woods has been seriously injured in a car wreck in Florida, authorities said Friday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:25 a.m. ET. Woods was driving a 2009 Cadillac sport utility vehicle.
The police report narrative said the "driver had just pulled out of the driveway at his residence ... as [vehicle] began to drive on Deacon Circle, [vehicle] struck a fire hydrant. The front of [vehicle] then struck a tree..."
Woods was taken to Health Central Hospital. His condition was not immediately known, though the news release said his injuries were serious.
The airbags in the car did not deploy, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel. The newspaper said that airbags typically do not deploy if a vehicle is traveling less than 33 miles per hour.
The highway patrol says the crash is still under investigation, and charges are pending. However, the highway patrol said the crash was not alcohol-related.
Woods is scheduled to play in the Chevron World Challenge beginning Dec. 3 in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He last played two weeks ago in Australia.

This is going to turn out to be a little bigger than I thought. I believe after reading some other sites this is cheating related. Tiger got caught cheating and his wife was beating the crap out of him, he tried to get away and ended up crashing. All while being messed up on pain pills.

In a tape of a 911 call released Sunday, two days after the accident, a neighbor told dispatchers that a black Cadillac Escalade hit a tree and âI have someone down in front of my house.â
Woodsâ neighbor never mentions the golfer by name, and the call is inaudible at several points because of the bad connection.
âI came out here just to see what was going on,â the neighbor, who was not identified, told dispatchers. âI see him, and heâs laying down.â
One woman is heard in the background yelling, âWhat happened?â
âThis situation is my fault, and itâs obviously embarrassing to my family and me,â Woods said. âIâm human and Iâm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesnât happen again.â
Woods said it was a private matter, and he wanted to keep it that way.
âAlthough I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible,â he said.
Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor has said Woodsâ wife, Elin, used a golf club to smash out a rear window to help him get out of the SUV when she heard the crash from inside their home at 2:25 a.m. Friday.
âThe only person responsible for the accident is me,â Woods said. âMy wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.â

Never having been a TW fan, having his career fall apart, from a guy who thought the world revolved around him, doesn't exactly bring any sympathy from me. I hope he gets everything coming to him, including the possible charges of paying for prostitution, many times over. This morning it was released that he was still sending these women monthly, 5,000 to 20,000 each, depending on the person he needed to keep quiet the most.
I personally haven't been purchasing Nike, and for them to stand behind this sleazebag is beyond me. The phrases they use, just do it, do what you got to do, whatever else they say that is not going to sound very wholesome after these affairs. If you can call them affairs, they were more like Tiger does everybody. I myself will not be purchasing Nike, my son performs UA and Adidas anyway. NIKE No I'm Kissing Eldrick :moon:
