UK needs to send a message loud and clear with this game. They have some close games, but this should be the game where we show them what to expect the rest of the season.

I'm not concerned about margin of victory. I think everyone get's hung up on number of points won by as the barometer for how well the team played. I want to see UK accomplish the following:

1. WIN
2. Outrebound by 10+
3. Force 15+ turnovers
4. Have fewer than 15 turnovers
5. Better defend the 3 (Force less than 40% 3 point %)
6. Shoot better than 65%
7. Get to the Freethrow line 15+ times.

If they accomplish the above that means we won the battle on the inside, played solid defense, held onto the ball, made the open shots and forced the tempo.

I could care less if we win by 10 or 40. To think we have to beat a team by 40 means we have no respect for how good the other team is, thus we think too much of ourselves and are not realistic to what happens in competition. Win the small battles, and you will win the game.
