I have never understood the formula that is used to get these power ratings can some one help? Please don't take me wrong I'm sure its something that I just don't understand but for example Bell was 86.1 last week and with a win against a good Harlan County 5-a school they went from 6 to seven and their score droped , please excuse my ignorance I've always respected Dave C's system. Please explain if anyone can..

IMO, Fort Campbell can play with any of the 3-10 teams, no way that they would be 13th on my rankings.

No, they're easily top 10 based on experience alone. I'd put them at #6 with #4 and #5 glancing uneasily over their shoulders.

From my understanding it has to do with strength of schedules, how well the game was played, yards carried, points given up, points scored etc. I looked it up one day....what can I say, Bored easily?

^^^^^ Does that mean that teams who run up the score get a better rating/ranking? Not a criticism per se, just a question.

FWIW, I would put Highlands slightly above St. X based upon common opponents (which I understand is not part of the formula). I would also put Simon Kenton above Trinity at this point.

So Highlands is ranked in the top 10 in the country in 3 different polls, undefeated for the season, beat a team that beat St. X but St. X is #1. Also Whitley County is ranked but the district champ Letcher Central, who has 2 less loses, isn't. Sounds to me like these Cantrell ratings aren't really worth the time to read. Good Job Dave Cantrell way to be an idiot.
