Senior running back Corey Taylor rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries to lead host Walton-Verona to a 13-7 season-opening victory over Gallatin County on Saturday.

Congrats to Walton-Verona. I'm happy for the young men. I'm sure thier former coach is smiling right now. He laid the ground work for success and the new coach has "taken the baton" for a new program. Hopefully this will be a succesful season for the young men at WV.
