what i dont get is why its Ted Lilly instead of Carlos Zambrano for the Cubs?
#6
Three Phil's are on there. I'm satisfied.

The NL doesn't look right without Utley and Howard on there.

Lilly got the win today to make him 8-6 with an ERA of 3.32 and a WHIP 1.14. He has 97 K's and 23 BB's.

Zambrano is 4-3 with a 3.5 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. He has 69 K's and 38 BB's.

That is way Ted Lilly was chosen over Zambrano.

Good to see my Sox get 6!
#10
votto would've been there if he was healthy
#11
Ian Kinsler was a big snub. I have 3 players on my fantasy team who are all stars and have scored less points for me this season than Kinsler.

Zambrano really didn't have much of a case over Lilly, don't see why you were confused with this.
#13
Kinsler def. should have been on the list! Love to watch him. Heck I love to watch the Rangers play in general. If I wasn't such a huge Sox fan, I would pull for the Ranger! BLUE COLLAR!

agreed. Kinsler is awesome and there's no question that he shouldve been on there!

Glad to see Boston got on there. Can't believe that only 1 made it from Cincinnati. Glad Cordero made it, but atleast Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips or Cueto.

On Sunday I was a little ticked that Johnny Cueto didn't make it. If you looked at his stats at the time of the selections (8-5 record, 2.69 ERA), his resume screamed "All-Star" to me. He certainly had better credentials than Jason Marquis, Chad Billingsley, Johan Santana, or Ted Lilly (although Lilly was the only Cub).

Then, of course, Cueto decided to prove that Phillies manager Jerry Manuel made a mistake by going out and giving up 9 runs in the first inning on Monday. So much for that.

I am also having trouble seeing how Brandon Phillips was left off. I think it may be because he rubs a lot of people the wrong way. As for Votto, there are a lot of worthy players at first base in the NL (Pujols, Fielder, Derrek Lee, Berkman, Helton, Adrian Gonzalez, etc.) and missing a month of the season really put him behind the 8-ball. But he still deserved to make it in ahead of Ryan Howard.

Shane Victorino was voted in by fans. That's four Phillies. Smile
#19
Did no one notice one big exception??? No A-Rod. He didn't deserve it, but it looks like the fans are tired of him!!!
#20
Shane Victorino (Phil) & Brandon Inge (Det) were the final 2 all-stars that were voted in by the Fans

IMO, Reynolds' deserved it more than Victorino who made it. Right now, Reynolds' is on pace for 48 dingers and over 140 RBI's. I think that is very all-star worthy. Anyone else agree?
