Billy Gillispie promised Kentucky fans he would be relentless in recruiting the top prep players in the country to Lexington. The first day of the November signing period provided more tangible evidence Gillispie will be true to his word. The Cats inked three rising stars for the Class of 2009 - Daniel Orton, Jon Hood and GJ Vilarino - giving them a sensational foundation on which to build their roster as they continue to overhaul the program.

Very good, hopefully Orton can get his knee better and get back to playing soon.

Hood is an excellent pickup also, smoth scorer from Kentucky who has the love in his heart for UK basketball like most of us do. You need players like that on a team to really excel and hopefully bring home multiple titles.

I think GJ will be the biggest surprise. He is shorter than most Gillispie recruits, but he may be the most athletic. With sub 4.4 speed and a near 50 inch vertical. With true PG skills and vision.
