Who will have their "breakout season" this year in the 15th
#1
Every year, a few players in the 15th seem to come from nowhere and have a season that pushes to the top players in the region. Or at least on their team. Who do you all think might fill the bill this year?
Last year, IMO a few were Arron Haney from JCHS, Jeff Cyrus of LCHS, and Corey Adams of Paintsville.

This year....I will think about mine for this year and post later.

If I'm understanding this correctly , the players you are asking for are the ones whom have not previously exhibited themselves as top players in the region.

My picks are:

1. Scott Mcdonald Pikeville very solid bat could make Pikeville much better.

2. Austin Lyons Paintsville, this could be his year on the mound.

3. JCHS Sophomores several good ones, any of which could push their team into
the top 2-3 in the 15th,

Laney-Lawrence
Humphrey-Paintsville
Conley-JCHS
Stiltner-Phelps

IMO, these players are already playing well for their teams and are mentioned as palyers which already make a difference for their respective teams.

so if I am understanding the question correctly for this post...we are looking for "BREAKOUT" players whom have not as yet made a difference for their team.

Well you interrprut as you want, but these players are not their teams best players. For their team to be successful I think these are the ones who have to have a great year and a "breakout" season.

I don't disagree these kids need to have a big season but...
Stiltner is by far phelps best player......
Humphrey plays well but as I said his bat could help Pville in a big way
so yeah I agree this could be a breakout year for him...
Conley is probably jchs #1 pitcher
Laney already good player but would big for lc if he has a good year so I'll agree with him as well..

What do you think about Lyons...as far as ..is he capable of a breakout season or is he still a year or two away ???

Yea I definetely think Lyons could have a breakout season. I don't think starting out he will be an everyday player. If he does start to progress to where it looks as though he might break out then he will work his way into the lineup everyday. Then I think he will get comfortable enough to where he could have a "breakout" season.
