Belfry moved the ball well but fumbles killed them. Starting QB out for Belfry

Starting QB out with knee and backup QB out with broke finger……

Belfry played well considering the injuries. Seemed like the offense changed a little bit to fit Woolum at qb. You still have to use his running ability even if he’s at qb. Southwestern in a really good team.

Way to go Warriors!

I wasn’t there but I think they moved the ball pretty good and they had 3 fumbles I believe and one of those was ran back for a touchdown for Southwestern

Belfry down 4 starters, two of which are QB1 and QB2, QB2 starts LB when Belfry switches to a 5-3 front. A freshman had to step in and start at halfback due to Woolum’s move to QB for this game. The Pirates had their fair share of blunders, but some very questionable no-calls from the referee crew. Southwestern scored on a deep ball, the receiver had a blatant push off sending the Belfry corner to the turf. As well as a scoop-n-score when the Belfry running back was clearly down. All in all, the mistakes added up for the Pirates. Should’ve had the win but doesn’t always play out that way. On to Pikeville week now.
