Looks like Powell gave Hazard a run last night in Stanton. Behind a great start from freshman Lacy Dicken and relief from Junior Kyle Nickell. Final was 4-2 Hazard but runs came from some mistakes from upper classman. Powell could be a contender if they can get the bats going.

Hazard led 4 to 0. LCC comes from behind to win 5 to 4. Still early in season for both teams. Arms will catch up.

There never has been a question as to if anyone can compete with Hazard in the regular season. They haven't dominated in the fashion of over powering teams. They just find the way to beat teams come tournament time. As always there are teams in the 14th that can compete with them. They just have to figure out how to do it in the postseason.

Hazard plays fundamental baseball and they usually don't beat themselves. Small ball and good pitching are their forte.
