No way hazard is that high. They just gave up 50 in a half to a mediocre letcher team.

Newport Catholic at 3 what a laugh.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, these rankings mean nothing other than stroking egos. Though it’s fun to debate who is ranked where it will all eventually get sorted out in the playoffs.

Your focusing on Raceland getting three first place votes, however, you're missing that Pineville got the other first place vote.

I clearly said that. Pikeville got 4/8. Useless poll is the point.

None of it matters though. I was sold on Hazard being able to play spoiler, but they gave up 50 points to LCC. I dont see their defense being able to keep Raceland or Pikeville in check enough on that side of the ball. Right now, I think its a two horse race just based off of where both teams are right now. Raceland could have won the game vs Highlands, but Pikeville SHOULD have won against CC and Corbin. So i still give Pikeville a slight edge. Make no mistake, those games prepared Raceland and Pikeville. I just hope we get to see another championship game like last year no matter who is there. Blowouts shouldnt happen in a title game.

Anyone who knows anything about 1A football knows that Pikeville is #1 and we are all just chasing them. Polls are just opinions by just a few sportswriters from areas West of here. I think there is only 1 vote East of Lexington, so I do not put much merit in this.

I don't think that Pikeville would be a heavier favorite over Raceland this season than they were over Russellville last year. Pikeville is #1 but they are not a prohibitive favorite to repeat, IMO.
