Ashland travels to Russell for a district and Rivalry matchup on Friday. Ashland has wins over Boyd County 10-7, West Jessamine 58-21, Bourbon County 58-14, Elizabethtown 35-28,East Carter 31-20 and losses to Raceland 16-7, George Washington ,WV 35-21,Covid loss to Wheelersburg,OH.

Russell has wins over Boone County 19-6, Raceland 28-18, Montgomery County 38-21, Greenup County 34-7 and Losses to Wheelersburg, OH 35-16, Lawrence County 39-28, Paul Laurence Dunbar 42-10.

Should be an interesting game Russell’s strength is Ashland’s weakness likewise Ashland’s strength is Russell’s weakness.

Ashland has won like 17 of last 18 meetings something like that. Should be a hard fought game with 2 pretty even teams. If Ashland takes care of the ball and stays away from the penalty bug they win by a score.

Gored devils I watched that game last night was a very good game. Russell looked very focused and played hard definitely have some studs on that team. I say you guys meet again and will be another slobber knocker. Good luck and I never take anything on these threads personally and there is definitely no hard feelings
