Looks like Rhea is pretty stoked about their schedule change. They are opening up with two state champions on the road. Will be interesting to see how they fare.

Schedule change for Rhea Co. football. Week 1 game will be vs Alcoa away Aug. 20th. We start the season vs two defending state champions, week 1 Alcoa (3A) and Week 2 Elizabethton (4A). Both away games. Exciting times for Rhea Co. football.

I was told Alcoa payed the $10,000 fee for Rhea Co getting out of the game.

I heard the same thing plus a little more about Alcoa’s sales pitch too.

Just curious , what was Alcoa's "sales pitch" --- You're gonna get jobbed  by the home cooking at Campbell Field like we did in 2017?
