I suggested that moderation was needed, admitted that I have repeatedly broken the rules by responding to insults in kind, and also volunteered to be the first member suspended.

Without some enforcement of the rules, forums like this quickly deteriorate to the point where they are not worth the time to post. The name calling, the spamming with repetitive posts not related to the thread topic - it all leads to lower quality debate and it ultimately leads to less activity. In my 11 years as a member here, the quality of posts has never been lower and this was the first time that I resorted to complaining to the moderators. 

I will not wait another 11 years before complaining again if nothing changes. Actually, if nothing changes, I will probably just look for better political discussion elsewhere.

Man i agree with you Hooter there should be rules there are only 1 set of facts but on FB Twitter and other social media platforms ever body got there own set of facts and we seen the results of that on Jan. 6th 2021 
They need to be liable for there content to much damage being done and if you don't play by the rules your out

You have also seen the results for years and in the months leading up to the elections, when Black Lives Matter and Antifa used Twitter to organize violent protests that resulted in deaths, injuries, looting, and arson. What did Twitter do to rein in those organizations? Nothing, because they were considered helpful to Democrats' election chances.

If you believe in rules and accountability, then you should be in favor of repealing Section 230. Nothing gets a big corporation's attention more quickly than the prospect of facing a jury in a wrongful death case. But a corporation that is receiving special protection from the federal government has an obligation to treat its users fairly. That is not happening and the attempt to put Parler out of business by these bully companies is outrageous.

If it makes Social Media companies liable for there content like TV and Newspapers then yes i think the content should be screened before released but wouldn't that put the Dear Leader in a hole or in other word be truthful yes i would be all for it too many lies people are too gullible

I know the work a day world of the union member and as such, vector and I share something you very likely don't understand. If I did feel I needed to make allusion to some topic with you, I would obviously go the soap opera route. Past that, don't make veiled insinuations toward me about shutting down threads or the like. I'll let Hoot speak for himself to that end.

I find it comical the rules of one board must be followed, but others are 1st Amendment violation on another.

That is either because you do not understand what is going on or you don't care because it is conservatives who are being victimized. Applications like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube are not forums, they are communications platforms. They are benefitting from favorable treatment by the federal government and they are abusing that trust. They are actively colluding to kill competing companies at the same time they are discriminating against conservatives by treating them worse than Iranian terrorists. The Democrat Party is encouraging their criminal behavior because it provides the party with a big political advantage.

Trump showed how effective the use of social media can be for a politician until Big Tech decided to muzzle him. Now that Biden is about to be installed into the White House, Big Tech has decided to target all conservatives and the companies that support us. Tax dollars and government policies should not be used to persecute American citizens for their political beliefs. Democrats are just picking back up with what they were doing under Obama. In case you have forgotten, Obama unleased the IRS on conservative political action organizations while taking a hands off approach to liberal nonprofit organizations.

Per a besieged media site owner/operator on Lou Dobbs a few minutes ago. "Twitter forced 4.5 million conservatives off their 'service platform' last Friday."

I am one of those 4.5 million. The mistake that Parler made was using Amazon's AWS to host its servers. I opened an account on Gab.com last night. The service is very slow right now and it took me a long time to sign up and get logged in.

Gab uses its own servers to host the application and they are currently building 10 new servers to handle all of the Parler users that have migrated. Aside from the slow performance, Gab looks very promising. It is not a Twitter clone and in some ways I like it better than either Twitter or Parler.

You need to stay off of it you are being radicalized
