I'd say Trigg left the starters in to continue working on their game and build some confidence. They've taken thrashings the last three games. Yes, the Rockets totally dominated this game.

Trigg has way too much size and talent to be as bad as they are.

Having seen Trigg play - they have size and strength that many teams would love to have. They are a step slow on defense but I'm not sure that fully explains their record.
