The Wildcats have also lost strength and conditioning coach Scott Holsopple after just one season.
Lexington TV station WKYT-27 reported that Holsopple has been hired by the University of Florida and will serve as the strength and conditioning coach for the Gators' football team.
UK spokesman Scott Stricklin confirmed that Holsopple has left the university to take a position with another school, but he didn't name the school. Florida officials said no announcements were scheduled yesterday regarding its staff.
Holsopple, who also worked with the golf team, came to UK last season from Marquette.
