RALEIGH â The NC State men's basketball team battled to its 12th ranked win over a top-10 team in PNC Arena Wednesday night, defeating the No. 7 Auburn Tigers, 78-71. The Wolfpack improves to 10-1 for the first time since the 2005-2006 season.

NC State made five of its last six field goals in the closing minutes and shot 57.7% from the floor in the second half.

Markell Johnson led the Wolfpack in a career-high night with 27 points. Devon Daniels (15 points) and Braxton Beverly (15 points) followed suit as Beverly put up his third-straight double-digit game.

it was a great game.... Braxton had 15 point without taking a shot in the 2nd half. with 4-5 from 3's.

Auburn was extremely undisciplined. A sea of turnovers in the first half drowned them.
