Rich Brooks
#1
Well with everything that has been going on with tubby smith leaving and stuff like that. I have noticed that Rich Brooks has lexington wrapped around his finger at the moment. And he has almost fulll surpport of the fans. So the question is can he take the pressure of the fans or like tubby will he be drove out, from not up to standard season. What is your alls thoughts on this.

The expectations in football aren't as high as it is in basketball. As long as Rich Brooks wins 5-7 games a season, then he is safe at UK. Plus this upcoming recruiting season, UK will have a monster recruiting class.

I hope we have as good a season as last, but I wouldn't count on it. As far as pressure, Brooks making it to a bowl and winning it put pressure on Tubby, how many times did you hear thinks like even our football team is winning during this season.

If the football team stumble trust me the football fans will be after him.

I mean really for all that has been said about how the fans gave Tub a hard time it was nothing and I mean nothing to what the football fans did and said to Bill Curry and his staff. Have we forgotten the death threats and curry wife bing escorted out of town to a safe location. Interested to hear what my old buddy GB1 has to say about the pressure placed on the football coach in the past.

No doubt, the person loving this the most is Rich Brooks... even if he doesn't want to admit it....

God I love Rich Brooks.

I liked Rich Brooks ever since on his radio show when he first started he was ask what his players thought about his offense and he said it never entered his mind to ask THEM what they thought of his offense.

Oh I could talk (complain using graphic profanity) about Bill Curry all day. I'm still mad about him. Those were some bad sports years for me: Curry at UK & Dave Shula with the Bengals (I guess coaching knowledge skips a generation).
I wouldn't get my hopes too high for the UK football team this year. The schedule is more difficult & 6-6 would be a good year. Brooks did what he was hired to do, lead the team through probation & get the program in better shape.

Curry did get couch to come to ky and thaty is all he ever did.tryed to run the option with him.

I was afraid landing Couch would buy Curry more time, but it led to his dismissal because he decided to have Couch run the option, in The Swamp, down by about 150 points. WORST COACH EVER!
