BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – No. 13 Union College clicked on all cylinders in posting an impressive 111-77 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) victory over visiting Point (Ga.) on Saturday.

The Bulldogs up their overall record to 19-7 and are now 16-3 in conference play. The Skyhawks fall to 8-20 overall and 4-15 in the AAC.

Union shot 50.6 percent (40-of-79 shots) from the field and held Point to 27.4 percent (20-of-73) on the night. In the second half, the Bulldogs reeled off 60 points on 23-of-42 shooting (54.8 percent).

K.J. Duronslet (JR/Sacramento, Calif.) set the tone for the Bulldogs as he recorded his fourth double-double of the year with a season-high 31 points and 13 rebounds. The 31 points are the most by a Union player this season, and he accumulated the points by hitting 10-of-13 shots and going 11-for-12 from the foul line.

Early on, Union struggled to get its offense going, netting only three points during the first two minutes of play. The Bulldogs, though, used a 16-6 stretch to grab a 17-8 advantage with 14:02 left in the half.

Duronslet give Union its first double-digit lead with a bucket at the 7:32 mark, making it 30-20 Bulldogs. Union closed out the half on a 20-9 spurt to take a 51-33 cushion at the intermission.

Five quick points to begin the second half gave Union a 23-point lead. From that point on, the margin dipped lower than 21. The Bulldogs' largest lead came at 104-62 with 3:49 remaining. Point's Xavier Johnson accounted for eight of the game's final 14 points to make the final 111-77.

The 111 points are the most points Union has scored in a game this season. This is also the first time the Bulldogs broke the century mark. Union scored 100 or more points in a game seven times last season.

Duronslet was one of four Bulldogs to score in double figures. Lance Blakely (JR/Lexington, Ky.) added 19 points, while Austin Cummins (SO/Lawrenceburg, Ky.) and Jakobe Wharton (SO/Louisville, Ky.) followed with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Tyonn Stuckey led Point with 20 points with Johnson adding 10.

Union dominated the boards, outrebounding Point 62-39. The 62 rebounds are a season high for the Bulldogs, and three hauled in double-figure boards. After Duronslet, Robert Blunt (JR/Phoenix, Ariz.) had 12 with Stuart Jackson (SR/Louisville, Ky.) grabbing 11.

This was also the final home game for seniors Jackson and Dominique Lindsey (SR/Tyrone, Ga.). Both finished with seven points with Lindsey dishing out nine assists.
