EAST LANSING, Mich. Sophomore guard/forward Miles Bridges hit a 3-pointer with 2,7 seconds left and No. 4 Michigan State held on to beat No. 3 Purdue, 68-65, in a Big Ten Conference men's basketball game at the Breslin Center Saturday afternoon.

Records
• Michigan State has won eight-straight games and improves to 24-3 overall and 12-2 in the Big Ten Conference, while Purdue falls to 23-4 overall and 12-2 in league play.
Summary
• Michigan State went into the break down five points, 36-31, after a 3-pointer from Miles Bridges and a layup from Cassius Winston in the final minute.
• The Boilermakers led from the start and took a 25-16 lead on a 3-pointer from P.J. Thompson at the 7:44 mark.
• MSU responded with an 8-0 run over 2:43 and pulled to within 25-24 on a dunk from Gavin Schilling with 4:40 play.

• The Boilermakers went ahead 65-63 on a Haas jumper with 1:05 to play, but Kenny Goins hit a put-back jumper with 48 seconds left to tie the game and after a Purdue miss, MSU called a timeout and Bridges hit his 3-pointer from the right wing, sealing the win.

• Bridges scored 20 points and had three rebounds to lead two players in double figures ... Sophomore guard Cassius Winston added 10 points, 10 assists and tied for a team-high with seven rebounds ... Matt McQuaid scoring nine points, Kenny Goins adding six points, three rebounds and three assists and Gavin Schilling finished with seven points and seven rebounds.
