PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- From the opening tip, the sixth-ranked University of Pikeville men's basketball team had no problem dispatching No. 6 Lindsey Wilson in a 107-77 rout inside an energy-filled East Ky. Expo Center on Thursday night.

Pikeville turned into dunk city as the Bears outscored the Blue Raiders 20-8 on the fast break and showed off their depth with a 47-8 advantage off the bench.

Jayvian Delacruz led all scorers with 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Darrion Leslie added 16 and six and Chase Parsley flirted with a double-double with nine points and 10 assists.

Bryan Wallace led Lindsey Wilson (20-4, 5-4 MSC) with 22 points and Jordan Hamlette backed him up with 21.

UPIKE outshot Lindsey Wilson 58-35 percent and made 8 of 19 3-pointers, it also had 18 assists and just eight turnovers. Lindsey Wilson struggled to create offense, finishing with just three assists and giving the ball away 14 times.

The first half was not kind to the team in Blue as UPIKE (23-2, 7-2 MSC) shot out to a 13-3 lead in the first six minutes. Still, Lindsey found a way to cut it to five at 20-15, but fast forward nine minutes and the Bears had ended the half on a 31-9 run.

It was 51-24 at halftime and the Bears went on to lead by as many as 45 points at 97-52 on a steal and lay in by Michael Chambers.

After UPIKE emptied its bench late in the game, the Blue Raiders were able to cut into the deficit, scoring 25 of the last 35 points to get to the final 30-point margin.

Lindsey Wilson made it to the free-throw line 35 times and made 24, far more trips than the Bears. But Pikeville was more efficient at the stripe, connecting on 15 of 17.
