US Postal Service Supervisor Convicted Of Marijuana Mailing Ring
#1
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
A former U.S. Postal Service (USPS) station manager in D.C. was sentenced to more than eight years in prison for running a marijuana distribution ring with the help of letter carriers, officials say.

Deenvaughn Rowe, 48, of Odenton, Md. used his USPS computer at the Lamond-Riggs Post Office to track packages containing pounds of marijuana that were sent to fictitious postal patrons or fake addresses, according to a statement from the Department of Justice.

When packages arrived at the station, he coordinated with other USPS employees to deliver them at designated places on streets to men waiting in cars who paid cash for the packages.

Former letter carriers and co-conspirators, Kendra Brantley, 32, and Alicia Norman, 39, both of Washington, D.C., were sentenced in July to 46 months and 18 months in prison respectively, for their roles in the distribution ring. Others were involved as well, but have not yet been named.

In addition to the prison sentence of 97 months, Rowe was ordered to serve four years of supervised release and to forfeit $64,000.
