Dayton got three in the third, three in the sixth and one in the eighth to post the 7-0 win.

The Dragons pitchers gave up just four hits.

Andy Cox (S, 1) went three to post the save, while giving up one hit.

John Sansone had 2 hits both doubles and drove in two.

The suns wasted no time in getting out to the lead, in their first at bat.

West Virginia would only score two runs in this, both in the third but it would be enough, to give them the win.

It has been a pitching battle so far.
Norfolk's Mike Wright 2-4 4.13 ERA entered the third with a shutout, while giving up zero hits.

For Columbus Michael Peoples 2-3 4.82 ERA entered the fourth, with a shutout going, allowing just two hits.
