football rule changes proposed
#1
Last year's changes weren't universally liked, so more tweaks have been proposed :

going back to starting the clock on the snap after a change of possession instead of when the referee signals the ball ready for play;

starting the clock on kickoffs after the ball is touched by the receiving team rather than when it is kicked;

Using a 15-second play clock immediately after timeouts instead of a 25-second clock;

Reducing timeouts from 65 seconds to 30 seconds;

Kicking off from the 30-yard line instead of the 35 to cut down on touchbacks;

Limiting the time officials have to review a replay to two minutes

I hope these rules do not get put into place. Trying to make the game faster is ridiculous.

i like the limit of touchbacks and timeout time, but rest are useless

I think you should have 60 seconds for a time out....anything less you wouldn't have time to get a jag of water and a breath of air, or even put together a plan for a play if you are down with a few ticks to go. The kickoff I agree with, nothing more exciting than a KO run back for a TD, plus it would be a gain/loss of momentum.

Rules look good, starting the clock like they did last season was stupid and it didnt give the teams time to set up a play or anything.
