X2 / X2E Varsity
What products are involved? Xenith gloss or metallic painted EPIC Varsity, X2 Varsity, X2E Varsity and youth football helmets manufactured or factory reconditioned and painted by Xenith between May 1, 2015 and March 18, 2016. Other Xenith football helmets (injected color shells and matte painted shells) are not included in this voluntary recall. Helmets manufactured or factory reconditioned and painted by Xenith during different date ranges are also not included. No other Xenith products are affected.
Where were these football helmets sold? The football helmets were sold (or factory reconditioned and painted by Xenith) between May 1, 2015 and March 18, 2016 through direct team, school and customer purchases, and through certain retail outlets and online sellers.
What is the hazard? The shell of certain gloss or metallic painted EPIC Varsity, X2 Varsity and X2E Varsity football helmets manufactured or factory reconditioned and painted by Xenith between May 1, 2015 and March 18, 2016 can crack, resulting in a potential impact injury hazard. No injuries have been reported.
How do I know if my helmet is included in this voluntary recall? Follow the steps below to check if your football helmetâs serial number is included in this recall. To do this, you will need the serial number of your football helmet; a label on the inside of the helmet shows the serial number and manufacturing date. See attached photos.
What remedy is Xenith providing? Xenith is replacing all affected football helmets at no charge to customers. Xenith will replace the affected helmet(s) and provide packaging materials and shipping labels to return the affected helmet. Xenith will provide a new helmet, packaging, and arrange for return shipping, at no charge.

Check serial number below or call 1-800-956-9022 for questions and concerns
If your helmet is included, we will ask for some additional information to ensure that all of your needs are met.
You will receive an email from Xenith within 2-3 business days including a confirmation number and an estimated ship date for your new replacement helmet.
Xenith will ship your replacement helmet via Next Day Air along with prepaid shipping labels AND packaging materials for you to return your affected helmet to Xenith.
Return the affected helmet to Xenith using the prepaid labels and packaging.

Many use xenith.
Riddell has has their share of things like this as well.

A lot of Belfry middle school players used these helmets a few years ago but parents had bought them. Have to say both of my boys used them and loved them. Only helmet used in the Army and East Bay All American games.
