You forgot Owensboro Catholic, Murray and the most overlooked of all, Butler County. I think OC will be top 5 and Butler County will be an eye opener.

I like holy cross this year. But defense is where I hear they will need work.. Glasgow is a sleeper and only lost 2 seniors last season so keep an eye on them.

Mayfield is favorite until someone beats them. DeSales and Cal look to have the best chance to do that. Good to see the Bunnies back on the conversation. Never count out New Cath.

Danville, Somerset, and LCA tough Dist. Somerset missed being Dist. Champs last season by a very few points in a loss to Danville and LCA. Somerset has all skilled people back with a bigger improved line. Don't sleep on the Rabbits.

Y'all just now figuring out 64 has a screw lose. I met him in person, and immediately knew he was an apple, and a orange shy of a fruit basket. Plus when you have 17 different teams you are occupied, and can't keep up with what classes the other few teams you don't pull for are in.

JP, I sure hope you are right but, let's not get ahead of ourselves. CAL returns a very good group and will add the assistance of a freshman class that just won state, DeSales may have recruited a dozen or more studs and they already return like 80 players, OC still has quiet a bunch of athletes and Danville and NCC are traditional powers. It won't be a cake walk.

The fact of the matter is everyone has a chance, any team Mayfield included is one injury one suspension one move away from not having a chance, but with that said just from what I have seen and heard from reliable source when they say this group is really special I believe them so Im going with Mayfield being the team to beat

Easy now! We don't use the R word. There is a lot of buzz around the program, especially with the new field. The turf is down, and it's looking good. We did have 34 freshman come out for football this year. Pretty healthy number. Guys are working hard. A lot of size on this team again.

As far as the ranking go, I'll go with..

1. Mayfield (Champs until someone beats them)

2. CAL (Returns stud qb)

3. DeSales (Can be really good this year. But I like the underdog role)

4. NCC (Kings of the east, until someone can knock them off)

5-10 Doesn't matter.
