In all seriousness, after the way they completely ignored the law last year, who even cares. The treasonous bunch currently occupying some of the seats will continue to what they want without repercussions.

The idea that once appointed there is no repercussions is the whole point of life time appointments. It takes the politics out of it, the special interest out of it, the deal making out of it.

Which would be great if they actually followed the book when it comes to laws.

It bothers me that justices are considered conservative or liberal. That shouldn't make a difference.

The laws in this country can be up for interpretation. Our system is based not only on common law and case law. There is little black and white in the law but many shades of gray(more than 50). The judge rules based on all of these plus their personal interpretations. We need a diversity in thought on all our courts to avoid issues of other cultures.
