After watching the Border Bowl, the linebacker from South Oldham and Corbin are the best two I've seen all year. The kid from South Oldham was 6'3 and was killing people. The Corbin LB was darn good too..

Good job.
#4
Congrats to Jefferson and Corey.
#5
Locher from Owensboro was the QB. Not an OL.
#6
Gotta have Brandon Jones on this list and Skyler Griffth.
#7
Lucky Jackson made the team as a DB??? Where is DeVon Quincy????

Where? Over Damien Harris or Elijah Sindelar? Nope. It is what it is, a one team pick. If there were 2nd and 3rd teams listed here and they were not on them, I'd maybe be behind you on that. The Crider kid was second overall in the state in rushing. Jones doesn't even crack the top 15, even playing more games than Pugh, who DID make the top 15. The Griffith kid has a much better argument than Jones does, IMO. NOT knocking Jones talent, before anyone jumps to conclusions.

I'm ok with this list

Only one first team

Congrats to all selected. Don't know how Connor Messer gets left out as a utility player.
#12
Not knocking Mason Helton but there are probably about 200 kids who are a better WR than him, one being Jake Johnson.

***** Hughes played very little defense.
- ZERO solo tackles.
- ZERO ints (McCracken teammates Daniel Seitzinger had seven picks)

***** Mason Helton
- In 15 games (the maximum you can play), he had 17 catches for 272 yards and 3 TDs.

***** Robinson (Henry Clay)
- 2 ints, 56 tackles

***** Dontavion "Lucky" Jackson (Lafayette)
- In 11 games, 12 total tackles (barely 1 per game, 0 picks, 0 fumble recoveries)

***** 13-of-30 kids from EKY (almost half the team)

The list was nominated by BGR users.

So basically a popularity contest.

Helton at WR is a head-scratcher, initially thought there was some confusion among players. He should be in the mix at LB for sure, but there are two other guys more productive at the WR spot on Pulaski in Jake Johnson & George Gregory. Helton split time at the TE spot on offense mainly because he was the anchor of the defense. Now had he played TE on a full-time basis, that would be a different story because his stats would support.

Anyone and everyone who wanted to vote was allowed to do so, encouraged actually!

And all elections are a popularity contest.
