I don't have to tell you what today is. I do; however, want to memorialize this day in honor and thankfulness to our military and first responders.

May we never forget their sacrifices.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

The tragedy of that day is certainly striking, if you have been able to watch the retelling of the story on today's news, and demonstrates the value of the lessons learned from history. I couldn't help but make a few comparisons. George W, if you listen to the commentary of that day by former Secretary of State Alexander Haig, inherited a militarily weakened America from Clinton. (Another US President who did not serve his country in the US armed services but who none the less, felt comfortable calling himself Commander-In-Chief.) Clinton, in the same manner as the present administration, presided over the dismantling of the military in an effort to save money and to exercise a pursuit in foreign policy which, reflected the convictions of the liberal Avant-Guarde of that day. The result of which was 9/11, and of course, their refusal to accept the responsibility for their own actions. All the Dems who pushed to invade Iraq, nowadays unashamedly blame George W for acting to defend US soil as once again the tack is to play nicey nicey, and give those who hate us billions in gifts they call aid. In fact, ISIS is fighting with those gifts of tanks and equipment as we speak, thanks our having scrammed out of Iraq at the behest of bleeding heart liberals.

But, back in that day under their insistence and the guiding hand of Bill Clinton, America had pulled in her horns, creating a power vacuum in the Middle East into which strode the likes of Osama Bin Laden. The criminal mastermind BTW, who was given a pass on a number of occasions by President Clinton. Once again in this day and still suffering from the very same delusion about world affairs, the exact same advisors are at it again under the guiding hand of Barack Obama, pushing us toward disaster.

The wise version of the United States (pre Clinton), wanted to dictate the terms of her own destiny. They led the lessor nations, through sage and practiced foreign policy. The results of which as the record clearly indicates, were beneficial to our land and gave stability to the world at large. Such was the policy which saw the fall of the Soviet Union and a world largely at peace. That, along with the swelling of our national treasury and our national prestige as the nations of the world gladly cooperated with our great nation. In a departure from the tried and true, the amateur hour version of the United States wants to somehow force the nations we once led, to mind the matters which take place on the world stage themselves. Thusly forfeiting the privilege of dictating the terms of our own destiny to the detriment of our nation both financially and in world esteem. If you listen to Obama bloviate, one would think the sound of his voice alone, is enough to cause the nations to continue to bow at the alter of our superiority, as his hollow and rehashed rhetoric reminds the world of our past accomplishments.

The present idea is, that leading the world has become too expensive, and we must therefore force the fledglings out of the nest we built through the afore mentioned sage foreign policy. Said fledglings would then begin to shoulder the military and financial responsibility we once bore. Besides all that, liberals all believe that man is the product of evolution. Thus, in the indomitable spirit first put forth by Émile Coué, man has in their minds, evolved past the day of war and prejudice. The effort therefore, to get man to recognize and celebrate this newly evolved brotherhood, has by happenstance fallen to the American liberal and the Democratic Party in particular. That, by the way, is the basis of present day US foreign policy in a nut shell. The present irony is, the only reason America enjoys the luxury of printing the currency of choice for the world, and can therefore dictate her own terms, is due to the fact that we did in fact lead the world so capably. We demonstrated the capability, and paid for the right with blood and treasure, only to watch as rabid liberals give it all back.

Logically one must ask, how long can we expect to spend capital which is based on the past? Putin laughs at that past, so did Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, and so do Kim Jong-un, soon to be nuclear and sworn enemy of the US Hassan Rouhani, ISIS leader and one time detention camp detainee Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, etc. etc.. Many of the bad guys threatening the USA and the world are free instead of in jail where they belong, because liberals were hell bent to see them freed. And lawyers who represented the liberal agenda did not rest until they saw these thugs walk out of detention, bidding adieu to their former guards in a manner as follows; "I'll see you in New York." Heck, guys like Rouhani have even written books on how naïve America has become and even laid out his plans to play the US leadership for fools. After all, how wrong can he be? Iran will be nuclear in months if not already, if one can believe the news.

So, if the King (America) persists in his bent to abdicate the throne, he must accept the baggage that comes with it. He will no longer lead his kingdom and he will no longer control the purse of that kingdom. Those who once so willingly served, will now be equal to him. And, his voice which once overrode all, will now to borrow a quote from nky, become a mere fart in a windstorm. We'd better be ready to back up loans with collateral, and we'd better be ready to back up our currency with something of substance. The idea of America being the pinnacle of the world, and consequently being valued for so many reasons including how much our money is worth, is in the process of being destroyed.

Again, elections matter and the last one is IMHO, is really costing us.

Yeah! George W's words are today, strangely prophetic.

Isn't that the truth! Not to mention, "Frighteningly accurate"

EXCERPT FROM 2007 GEORGE W BUSH---
“To begin withdrawing before our commanders tell us we are ready would be dangerous for Iraq, for the region and for the United States,” Bush said.

What would follow is an accurate description of precisely what is happening today as a result of President Obama withdrawing American troops from the troubled Middle East country.

“It would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to al Qaida,” Bush said. “It would mean that we’d be risking mass killings on a horrific scale. It would mean we’d allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan. It would mean increasing the probability that American troops would have to return at some later date to confront an enemy that is even more dangerous.”

Just because Obama and his corps of rabid chipmunk advisors have been shown to be completely and demonstrably wrong over and over ad-nauseum, does not mean we should expect any form of admission to that end anytime in the future, near or far. As I have mentioned, self delusion is the liberal's closest friend. Therefore, in a world where reality is governed only by the limits of a fertile imagination, anything can be possible. Additionally, anything can be denied and anything can be taken credit for.

That commentary was posted on my face book this morning. Sort of made your heart race to read it.

We have a lawn in front of our campus library at Morehead that is filled with American flags, anyone can take a flag and place it in the ground, to in some degree, pay their respects to those victims who were lost.
