Wonder how Anderson is ranked ahead of Etown when Etown already beat them? Just goes to show everyone that sports writers don't know alot as a whole. Not saying they all are stupid, but they are good writers but terrible at judging teams or are generally homers for the home team.

Anderson had more points, 85-84.

Only nine people voted. 10 points for a first place vote. E'town had more first-place votes, 5-4.

With Anderson receiving 85 points it looks like it broke down this way
- Four voted them first (4 x 10 = 40)
- Five voted them second (5 x 9 = 45)
40 + 45 = 85

E'town broke down as five firsts (5x10=50), two voted them second (2x9=18) and two voted them third (2x8=16. 50+18+16=84.

I think some people saw E'town's record -- most losses for a top-six -- team and voted them lower. Especially when E'town turned around and lost twice after beating Anderson. ... What some voters didn't realize is one loss was to the MaxPreps NUMBER ONE TEAM IN THE COUNTRY and the other was to a California power.

Oh well.

Like I said, sportswriters should never be allowed to vote on a poll.......

How many people actually put any stock in a sportswriter poll?
