Rudy gay will be a great fit for the kings. They are building a good team.

Better trade for the Raptors.

Sacramento has Thomas, McLemore, Gay, Williams, Cousins. One ball, five players. All want to shoot. Will they shoot each other?

NEWS AT TEN!

Maybe a good spot for PP. Should get plenty of time to show out.

This trade has worked out well for the Kings and the Raptors. Rudy Gay went from shooting 38% to shooting 50% and is now the 2a/2b scorer on the team as opposed to someone that consumes 30% of the total possessions for his team.

The Kings did this trade not to get Gay but to shed Chuck Hayes' contract and because they were able to move Hayes, Salmons, Vasquez and Patterson in one fell swoop. Patterson has talent but does lost his long-range shooting in Sacramento (I hope he regains it for his sake) and Vasquez is a great facilitator and passer but is a horrendous defender because he is so slow. The Kings could not have their 3 PG's (Isaiah Thomas, Vasquez, & Jimmer Fredette) all be that bad defensively.

Rudy Gay has a player option for next season at a whopping $19M. However, many people believe that if he continues being so efficient he may do just like Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis and opt-out and get a good but not ridiculous long-term contract. He is right at that age that he may consider a 4-year $52 Million deal and at 31 sign another 3-4 year deal.

The Kings were beginning to look like UK with all those guys.
