The 2013 LIVT was this weekend and was an impressive event. A lot of great players and teams from all over. The first upset of the tourney was scored by Mercy in defeating #2 nationally ranked Mother McAuley from Chicago in the gold semifinals. This was followed by the Pandas from Notre Dame knocking off #1 nationally ranked Assumption in the other semifinal. Mercy defeated Notre Dame 2-1 in a final that went back and forth and could have been won by either team. Assumption lost the third place game to Mother McAuley and finished fourth. If you love volleyball, you would've loved this tourney. As someone said in another post--we live in a great state or volleyball.
