There fault for not splitting public or private. No sub section off any kind. Could have done like soccer and have state tournament in first round at different locations.

Splitting the postseason by publics and privates, I think, would be a good idea. I also like the idea of splitting it into classes. Why is football split up in to 6 classes, track and field in to 3 classes - but every other sport in our state is schools of ALL sizes competing against each other? I've never understood it.

12-16 going isn't a joke. Didn't the 15th win a match last season? Seems like grouping the schools by a geographic region then letting them play it out with the top team going to the Sweet 16 is the fairest way.

I agree that classes are a fair route to go. With that being said, football is too watered down with six classes. Maybe 4 for football & three for the other sports would work. But do like the tradition of one overall "big" Sweet 16 in basketball. After all, we are Kentucky basketball.
