Homer Bailey throws his 2nd career no hitter as the Reds beat the Giants 3-0

What a performance!! So glad I watched the game tonight. An even more amazing state is the fact that Homer Bailey threw the last no hitter this past season and has now thrown the first no hitter of this season!!

I'm not Reds fan, but my family is and they were going ballistic during the game hanging on every pitch.

He's 27 and already thrown 2 no-hitters. Is that happened quiet a bit?

Nolan Ryan was the last to throw two no-hitters within a one year/two seasons ( in '74 & '75 for the Angels ).

Prior to that Nolan Ryan did it again, however, more impressive in the same season in '73 for the Angels. Ryan threw 7 no-hitters over his career .

Warren Spahn in '60 & '61 for the Milwaukee Braves pitched two prior to Ryan in '73.

Johnny Vander Meer threw 2 in '38 for the Reds. Hope the perspective helps. So this is a pretty remarkable achievement. Congrats to Homer Bailey, now go win a pennant Confusednicker:!
