Cueto I am fine with. He is pitching on Sunday, thus he is not eligible to throw in the All-Star game. That one is no issue.

^That is my thought. Name him an All-Star so that it goes on his record, and then replace him with someone else, so that they can be an All-Star too.

^ That's fair and perfectly acceptable practice. This has been done before. I still won't go so far as the conspiracy theorist are going in that Larussa has a hard-on for the Reds over the brawls, but it would have made sense to name Cueto and then replace him. But if that was done, then you would have heard all of the media pundits complain about "Wasted" moves just for publicity....

I completely am backtracking off my comment that its no big deal about Cueto not bring selected. I had no issue that Tony decided to not choose Custom due to his Sunday start and not even being eligible to pitch in the all-star game. Tonight, I heard an introduction for Michael Jordan. Ss they introduced him, they mentioned his 6 titles, MVPs, etc, but they also mentioned his number of All-star selections. That's when it hit me, if Cueto's season was deserving of a selection, whether he could posy or not, then he should have been selected. This is Cueto's resume that he is building, and having that all-star selection taken away from his resume is NOT acceptable
