The Eastern Relays where held this weekend at the U of L track. This is a meet where the athletes have to have met set times to be able to run in the races. It is a very competative meet that brings in top athletes from Ohio, KY, Ind., and Tenn. The Ky kids did great and posted some great times on Friday and Saturday (you can check out the results on Kytrackxc.com). But the highlight of the meet was Tretez Kinnaird, a JR from Butler KY. Tretez ran the 800 meters in a time of 1:49.97. This time ranks him 3rd in the nation!!! It was the most impressive HS race I have ever wittnessed, and I have seen a lot! Butler should be very proud of this young man, as well as the state of KY.
