How to post a picture -Updated (2/12/05)
#1
***Imageshack keeps changing their website. If you choose the 1st link now, it will show a very small image. I have changed the directions to show how to post the full size image. If you have any problems, post them in this thread and I will attempt to help.***

As of right now, uploading an image to post is out. It's being worked on and may return, but for the mean time, here's another way to post. I personally like this way because it saves server space and bandwidth. Sorry for the roughness if the images. Also, try not to do what I did and upload a huge image so that it causes horizontal scrolling. 8)

First of all, you can either host the image on a website if you have one, or upload it to a free image hosting site. I personally like http://www.imageshack.us/. It's free, fast, and so far has been reliable. Since that is my favorite, I will use it as an example.

First of all, when you get to the site you will see something similar to this:

Now, click on the browse button (it may be in a slightly different location):

You will get the browse dialog box. Depending on your operating system and settings, you may see something a little different. Select your image or filename and click Open.

Once you do that, you will see something similar to this image. The path to your image will be in the circled area.

Now, just click on the Host It button:

Once your image is uploaded to their site, you will get this page:

Imageshack seems to keep changing their page, but this method should work everytime. It seems to be the only constant. Scroll ALL the way down the page and click in the very last box containing a path. Right click and select copy.

Now, you are ready to show your image. This is where it gets a little different. The path you copied earlier by itself will not work. What you will need to do is first, right click and paste the path into the message. Then, highlight what you just pasted, and then click the "Img" button you see at the top of your message box, just below the subject box.

Make sure your picture shows up properly by choosing the Preview button, then hit Submit, and you are done. EDIT: If you choose to, you can remove the "Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting". Just leave everything else in tact (namely the [ ]'s).
