Alex Oriakhi said on the radio today that he has talked to Nerlens Noel about the possibility of playing together at Kentucky next season. If the two Tilton products really plan to team up, it’ll have to be at Kentucky because the other two schools Nerlens is considering, Syracuse and Georgetown, are Big East schools.
The former UConn big man and his family will host Coach Cal tonight for an in-home visit. He has previously spoken to Orlando Antigua, but he said this is the first time he’ll get to talk to Calipari.
Oriakhi also said he wants to go to a school that needs a big man, so unless he’s worried about Willie Cauley stealing minutes, Kentucky could be a very likely possibility.
