Eastern 7 - Collins 1 (Girls Lacrosse)
#1
Final from last Thursday

The Lady Titan lacrosse team played well but lost their first ever lacrosse match against Eastern last Thursday. Collins started a girls lacrosse program this year that also includes two players from Shelby County. Since lacrosse is not sanctioned by the KHSAA the girls from SC are allowed to play for Collins. Collins junior Marysa Maier scored the Lady Titans first goal in school history and was assisted by Shelby County sophomore Sarah Raizor. Almost all of the girls have never played lacrosse before and are learning as they go. I think that it is great that they are having a lacrosse team. I know a lot of Louisville schools have teams as well as North Oldham and now Collins. Maybe the sport will gain popularity and one day be a KHSAA sanctioned sport.
