Trinity sophomore Thomas Cooper secured the top seed in two events for today’s state swimming meet. Cooper finished first in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle in :20.66 and :44.71, respectively.

Senior Michael Scheid of St. Xavier will have the top seed in the 100-yard backstroke. His preliminary time was :51.41.

Scheid is also a part of the 200-yard medley relay team for St. X, which took first place with a preliminary time of 1:34.97.

St. Xavier’s 200-yard freestyle relay team also claimed the top spot with a time of 1:27.20.

Kentucky County Day junior Connor Lohman will be the top seed in the 100-yard backstroke. His preliminary time was :58.49.

Girls

Leah Stevens, Sacred Heart sophomore, claimed the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.19.

Senior Miranda Mercke, also of Sacred Heart, will be the top seed in the 100-yard breaststroke. She finished her preliminary race in 1:04.00.

Junior Sarah Love of Manual will be the top seed in the 50-yard free style. Her preliminary time was :23.48.

Love was also a part of two relay teams that claimed the top seed.

Manual’s 200-yard freestyle relay team finished with a time of 1:37.90.

The Crimsons’ 400-yard freestyle team had a preliminary time of 3:34.98.

Diving

Senior Becca Corbett of Sacred Heart posted the top semifinal score with 349.20 in 1-meter diving.
