As I was watching the North Carolina and dUKe game, I heard Dan Shulman say that UNC and dUKe has never played each other in the NCAA tournament. I thought this was something that was interesting seeing how long their rivalry dates back and how many times they've played each other.

That is very interesting.
Although, seeing as to how the NCAA selects teams for the tourney, its no surprise as both teams are always on opposite end of the bracket, you'd think they would have met in a national championship as some point or the other.

Heard that too and it shouldn't be suprising at all. The NCAA will never
place Duke or Carolina in a position to meet anywhere other than
the title game. So the odds are greatly stacked against it. They've
reached one FF together, and Duke only reached the final game
courtesy of one of the biggest chokes in NCAA history by UNLV,
while Kansas knocked of Deanie and Co.

I would just be happy if they would make both teams play outside of North Carolina in the NCAA before the final four.
