So much for the New England Patriots' slow starts.

The bye week has the Patriots looking much more rested than rusty. New England, which had issues in the first half the past two regular-season games, jumped out on Denver with a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

Patriots receiver Wes Welker and tight end Rob Gronkowski both have early touchdown catches. New England's defense also forced a fumble on Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

New England quarterback Tom Brady is running a no-huddle/half-huddle offense that is very up-tempo. The Broncos didn't know what hit them early. New England got the ball first and drove eighty yards in less than two minutes.

Is this an early knockout blow or will Tebow and Denver respond?

Here's the crux of the Tebow debate -- can his style dig the Broncos out of a hole. The Steelers were only up 6-0 last Sunday when Tebow starting producing TDs. Expect the Patriots to force him into a short passing game rather than allowing deep downfield shots to WR Demaryius Thomas.
