I don't mean anything personal against Duke by this, but often ESPN way overhypes them and some of their players. Coach K has a legacy, and has sent many great players to the pros - many players - but some of the ones that aren't as good can slip through because they played for Duke.

That being said, Irving I don't think is one of those players that were overhyped. It will take him some time, but he has the potential to grow into a rock solid player. Cleveland had the unfortunate position of having the #1 pick in what was expected to be a draft class that was way down. The situation with the NBA starting later than usual will slow down the rookies even more since they were not able to go through all the practices, camps, preseason games, etc. that would have prepared them for the early going. The rookies will pick it up and do well later in the year, it will just take them a little more time than normal. Irving and Thompson could grow to be a solid combination for the Cavs. Thompson had a good first game, and really surprised me.

Can't see it.
I'm going with Kemba.
Marshon Brooks as a dark horse.

Williams will be the best player out of this class IMO

Irving isn't overrated lol
I'm sorry he went to Duke and you guys don't like that.
He had 20 5 and 4 last night and he'll continue to get better.
We won't know much about these rookies until next year....
the short offseason really hurts these guys chances to put up big numbers for their respective teams.

Irving shouldn't have been the #1 pick IMO, so therefore he is overrated. And I don't hate him because he went to Duke, I actually don't hate him at all. He's an undersized and not very athletic PG. He'll be a solid player one day though, never a superstar.
