Clay County 2017
MikeHonchoLives Wrote:Heard Coach Sizemore is here this week? Anyone been over to watch what they're doing? How is it going?

Has he been able to keep his players?

I believe so.

Apparently North Laurel (Larkey) has been recruiting several of Clay County's freshman group, there is actually text messages that have came out showing as much. Talk about rocks and glass houses!!!

Any ones specifically? I don't see any of that group leaving Clay for North anytime soon unless it's a legitimate move.

lol are you serious? Is Larkey stupid enough to send text messages that can be screen shot. Lets hope its not true because that would be super stupid.

This is the email that was sent for those interested:

This e-mail from North talking about coach Haddix talking to middle school kids at a banquet

This clinic sounds great.

Will it talk about recruiting other teams feeder programs?

Will it talk about a successful Middle School program using other schools kids?

Will it talk about how Middle School All Star team coaches recruit other teams kids? Which by the way I don't recommend any coaches send their kids too that have an opposing school nearby because its all recruitment from your feeder system. Especially around here!

Will the clinic talk about what a coach says to get a kid to switch schools in Middle School and leave his friends, who will hold that against him for a long time.

Does it talk about how to set up fake apartment addresses or how to get around the KHSAA rules for eligibility?

Sorry couldn't give names on here even if I knew, apparently there was a job and housing being promised to the parents if they came to London.

It would seem that along with being super stupid, he's a grade A ahole, apparently once he gets the kid recruited he plans to immediately give him minor varsity minutes so he can hold him hostage via the transfer rule if he should become unhappy and want to leave.
Wow... ruffled feathers much?

That's done quite a bit; especially in counties with multiple schools in their district (the varsity minutes to start the eligibility clock).
Idk if all this is true, but if it is it's absolutely hilarious. The ultimate "pie in the face" for a guy who really deserves it.

Horsesh!t recruit a kid from a different school then play him immediately on varsity, just to make sure you don't lose him back to the school that he's supposed to be at anyway is a total douche bag move and it shows just how horrible a person Larkey really is.
Recruiting in itself is a ***** bag move. It takes a person with poor morals to cheat and break rules. Recruiting to win shows lack of respect for your own team. You can keep any coach that feels he must cheat to win. He is not a winner no matter what the score reads. JMO

I never meant that school doing it RECRUITS; hell, schools usually do it so that it makes it harder for other programs TO RECRUIT.

Programs in counties with multiple schools will make it a point to play kids (FRESHMEN) on their team who might not be good enough to start (or even be a back up), but w/ a PROMISING future down the road....and, they will throw them in to start their eligibility clock THUS preventing kids from just being able to just UP AND TRANSFER WITHOUT HAVING TO MOVE b/c there "eligibility clock" wouldn't have started otherwise.

It sucks, but it happens...always has...always will.

Annnnnnnnnd, more times than not it's the kids/parents recruiting themselves to said school.

Coaches don't have to do it......"boosters" can and do. Parents of current/former players can and do; if nothing more than a conversation at a restaurant or passing by.

Unless there is hard facts; all of these (and, other "recruiting" threads/conversations) are really mute discussions, b/c nothing will ever come of them.

That's a sneaky way from a snake chs to get the real recruiting rumor which is not a rumor but the truth about Corbin

Uh ok, Listen dyslexia isn't curable but there are treatment options, please seek help
Sizemore will do good things there if given time.

Larkey is just well...Larkey. Take him with a grain of salt. He's harmless but loud.

I understand what you are saying, but , more often than not that kid that is being recruited was identified by the coach that would like to have him and his cronies go and try to get him. I feel the same about that coach as well as the one that does his own dirty work. Both are losers.
How are the Tigers looking? How many we have out at this point?

Who are the coaches?
Good luck this season. Go Tigers!

Let's get back on track. We can win. Long road but we wouldn't have it any other way.
