How in the world is Bert Blyleven NOT in the hall of fame?? 287 wins, 3701 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.31..not to mention, one of the top 3 curveballs EVER.
A few stats..
9th all time in shutouts
5th all time in strikeouts
27th all time in wins, and he is the only pitcher with 3000+ K's and not in the hall of fame.
Two time world series champion ('79 Pirates and '87 Twins)
Two time all star ('73 and '85)
One no hitter ('77)
242 complete games!
1989 comeback player of the year in the AL
So say what you want about Pete Rose. Rose deserves to be in the HOF, but Bert Blyleven not being in, is the biggest injustice without an excuse.
