Valley 42, Mullins 22 (5th/6th)
#1
Valley won tonight in a strange game.

The first quarter was maybe the best football Valley has played all year. They started out with the ball and scored within a couple minutes. After a 4th down stop, they took over and quickly scored again for a 14-0 lead. The Wildcats held Mullins on each of their next two drives as well, and followed both stops with quick scores of their own. By the end of the first quarter, the score was 30-0 and a running clock began.

The second quarter saw Valley begin to put in some subs on defense. The Tigers quickly took advantage of this with an impressive long TD run to cut it to 30-8. Valley would answer back with another score before the half to make it a 36-8 margin.

The third quarter saw Valley stop Mullins on their first possession, then put together another scoring drive of their own for a 42-8 lead. With some of the Wildcat subs in again, Mullins had another long TD run to make it 42-16. On the next possession for Valley, a Mullins defender made a great play by ripping the ball away from a backup RB, then taking it to the house to set the final score.

Valley is now 10-1 on the year. They are back in action Thursday against Johns Creek.
