I have a day job and there is no reason for me to waste my time reading 4,465 pages written by Democrats when I know that the agenda items are offensive to my beliefs as a patriotic American who believes in the U.S. Constitution. The media has provided enough coverage of the contents of the bills for me to draw my own conclusions about the merits of the bills.
Will there be waste?  Absolutely. But this will be wasted on American shores and most will benefit Americans in product and in job creation.

While Congress battles back and forth on this 10 year bill there was no hesitation on the near trillion dollar yearly defense bill where there is constant colloidal waste!
we have a priorities problem in this nation.

fact is this is overdue. Trump didn’t do what he said. Obama didn’t do enough and Bush did too little.
This country is broke. Defending the country is a constitutional duty of the federal government, and it is a duty that the Biden administration is failing to perform. The answer is not to cut defense spending and create more large liberal give-away programs. Everybody knows that Biden is lying when he says that the $3.5 trillion will be paid for by taxing the rich and corporations.
It doesn’t take 800 billion a year to defend the country. Hoot, don’t try defend the waste of taxpayer money  on defense with the constitution and the founding fathers.  You know good well they wouldn’t support the military role the United States has taken in the world.

The answer IS to rebuild the nation.  Which program you think is a liberal giveaway?

cut the Trump tax cuts and you get 1.7 trillion back. Won’t take much more past that.
I consider all federal spending that is not constitutionally required to be a waste. That is not a popular notion politically, but that is what I believe. Your contention that repealing the Trump tax cuts will result in an increase in tax revenues of $1.7 trillion is naive. When the government sucks an additional $1.7 trillion out of the economy, it comes with a steep cost. The tax cuts were an important factor in the strong economy that we had before the pandemic took hold.

The only part of the economy that will benefit from the huge deficit spending that Biden proposes is the area surrounding Washington, DC. If Biden gets his way - and you get your way, he will wreck the economy. Corporations will resume moving jobs and corporate headquarters our of this country to locations more friendly to businesses.

It is really hard to understand why people like you see no connection between high taxes and over-regulation on this country's economy. One would think that the soaring inflation rate that has already become a problem for the Biden administration would cause you to question the economic theories that liberal politicians have been promoting. But, no, not you. You are still just repeating Democrat talking points and insisting that the Biden economy is a miracle.

The economy will be a losing issue for Democrats in the 2022 elections and it will be a boat anchor for whoever wins the Democrat presidential in 2024. Don't worry, if you forget this advice, I will be reminding you as Democrats' election losses mount.
Constitutionally required and what we spend on defense are two different things.
The economy was growing at a faster clip prior to those tax cuts so that doesn’t hold water either.
I have no doubt the DC area will get their share but to say those are the only people that will benefit is a fallacy. The COVId bills were spread over the nation this infrastructure spending will be too.
Hoot, defense dollars are swallowed up by the VA and DC area by your logic we should cut that and spread it around.

well, we can crack a history book or use Google and understand that these tax rates have continuously been cut by Republicans for over 40 years now while middle class wages are stagnant and poverty has grown in the wealthiest nation in the world.

The nation has shifted to two income households to make ends meet,  unaffordable college, and consistent cuts to public services in the name of tax cuts for the rich.

All the while the rich have moved their corporations and factories overseas while their tax rates have been slashed over and over by Republicans.  They crash the economy and the taxpayer has to bail them out.

I don’t understand how you can continue to defend the consistent protection of the millionaire and billionaire class and corporations who have no concern for this country or its people.

But I do understand that you love your socialism when it comes to the rich. A real free market capitalist wants the govts hands out of businesses decisions to move overseas or staying.

I remember when Obamacare was “a losing issue.”  Now Republicans don’t whisper Obamacare.  The economy will not be a losing issue if these spending bills will be passed and the debt ceiling raised.
Economy will tank if Republicans get their way, and you will be right, Hoot. But let’s not forget why it tanks and why Republicans will win; they want power and money not what is best for this nation.
