"Sorry the coin didn't flip your way" isn't a take I ever thought I would hear when 40 million have lost jobs and growing daily, and untold millions of small businesses are failing, but hey Gitback likes it of course, he's still getting paid...

Other bad takes:
"people aren't eating out sitdown (saves money), people aren't entertaining locally at movie theaters and bowling alleys (saves money), people aren't traveling (saves money) "

Wal-Mart is open but all the mom and pops are shut down is another horrible take, and yes I could go on...

What a way to think of it.

It's been less than 3 months.
The economy hasn't tanked.
Let's not pull the plug just yet.

Ireland has shut down pubs through August, yet we're pissed we can't go to Texas Roadhouse.

Masks have been a thing in China for a while, yet we act like our Bill of Rights/Declaration of Independence/Constitution are all being set on fire because, you know what, it might keep you safe in a once-in-a-lifetime WORLDWIDE pandemic (it's not about keeping kids safe, it's about a kid being a carrier to someone else).

The nursing homes did NOT create this, or else it would have happened long ago and multiple times. It got into multiple ones across the country somehow (probably by people who thought they were wealthy).

Japan has said, no mask, no transportation. End of story.

Travel has NOT been the same since 9/11. We have gotten used to a "new normal" but we aren't getting the ease of travel prior to 9/11 back. So yes, NEVER. It puts us at risk to go back to our innocent normal of before. Looking back, we should have seen how airplanes could have been taken advantage of. But we didn't do it because we personally didn't want to be inconvenienced.

I shudder to think that some of these keyboard warriors I read think they could have made it through the Spanish Flu or Great Depression.

I know several people who have lost their jobs or gotten furloughed and made MORE more money staying at home (stimulus check plus extra 600 plus unemployment, not to mention gas price savings, less gas used and saving money not eating out, paying for kids to go to mall/movies/bowling, etc.)

Getting back to normal as quickly as possible for YOU is important.
It's not likely getting back to normal for many other people.

Some of us see the bigger picture.

And I could lose my warehouse job and be just fine for quite a while.
I was fully prepared to. Was shocked when we were considered essential.
But people across the country keep ordering from us.
Our orders are way above previous years.

Might be bored out of my mind, but financially I'll be OK for quite a while.
And that's coming from an asthmatic diabetic.
