Great post!

The mark is going to happen, and soon. The reelection of Obama sort of had destiny written on it. I believe that despite my personal consternation with regard to his reelection, it may have been just the orderly progression of God's prophetic Word coming true. Prophesy is nothing more than true history having been writen in advance of the actual occurrance of the described events.

The 'mark' will take the place of cash. Money will at some point soon be nonexistent and, will exist in theory only, matter of fact, it's largely theoretical even now. We went off the gold standard some years ago and our money is now based on the full faith and credit of the United States of America or, the strength of the economy which is measured by something called the gross domestic product. What could be more theoretical than that?

This is how I think they are going to sell the idea of going cashless. For one it is costly to maintain a viable supply of currency. As a crime deterrent, going cashless will mean there is no way for crooks to sell their stolen loot. They're not about to have money transferred into their account for any stolen merchandise sold to a pawn shop for example. Muggers beware, there will be no place to fence your booty. As a deterrent to drug usage (if it stays illegal, LOL) you'd have the same problem, drug dealers would no longer have an untracable way to sell their drugs. Prostitution? Same thing. Then there is the biggy, ID theft will be stopped dead in it's tracks. The ongoing existence of the IRS would be meaningless and on and on.

In other words the government will have this wonder solution for crime, or any illegal transfer of money, be it by bank or by burglar. With one fell swoop, the erradication of crime will be heralded by this one innovation. A glorious new day will have dawned and all we have to do is give up our filthy lucre and get a mark. Which, can never be stolen or lost, BTW. Got a problem with drinking and driving? Gone. How about gambling? Everything will be nicely regulated by the ever watchful eye of your government. Literally, the fulfillment of God's prophesy and the vision, to his credit, of George Orwell's 1984.

But, lest we overlook it. Make no mistake, all who recieve the mark will recieve their portion of the lake of fire. Trying to outlast the Lord's warnings does have some incredibly harsh consequences.
