Denver Colorado Airport
#5
I've just found out that the painting of a soldier is real! Sorry for doubting you Ballers. Sad Here's the picture:

[Image: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en...tmural.jpg]

This picture is called The Children of the World Dream of Peace. From what I've read, they've painted over this picture.

From what I've researched so far, the painter of this picture (Leo Tanguma) seems to be a supporter of the environment. I have heard that this painting could represent a world genocide, but Tanguma might've instead wanted this painting to represent how we treat the environment today. Such as, the soldier could represent oppressive industries that destroy the environment. If you'll notice, the soldier is killing a pigeon (a possible representation of the environment) on the bottom of the painting. Therefore, it's how you interpret this painting. The important interpretation that we need should come from Leo Tanguma, the painter. If we're not able to find his interpretation of this painting, we might be able to look at similar paintings he made and see how he interprets those paintings, such as In Peace and Harmony With Nature. That link takes you to one of Tanguma's websites, where he talks about his own interpretation of his painting In Peace and Harmony With Nature.

On his website, Tanguma explains what some of his paintings represents. Again, from what I've read and seen so far, he's a supporter of the environment. I personally haven't seen anything on whether or not he believes that a world genocide should occur.

According to the video that Ballers pointed out, there was already another airport in Denver, Colorado that was already running well. I'm guessing that it's talking about Stapleton International Airport, but I'm not really sure. From what I've researched on from Wikipedia.org (which isn't the best source), this is what the webpage says about the decommissioning of Stapleton International Airport:

Wikipedia.org Wrote:By the 1980s, plans were underway to replace Stapleton with a new airport. Stapleton was plagued with a number of problems, including:
  • inadequate separation between runways, leading to extremely long waits in bad weather
  • little or no room for other airlines that proposed/wanted to use Stapleton for new destinations (an example of this was Southwest Airlines.)
  • a lawsuit over aircraft noise, brought by residents of the nearby Park Hill community
  • legal threats by Adams County, Colorado to block a runway extension into Rocky Mountain Arsenal lands.

I'll try to find sources to these problems if I can. Wikipedia.org really isn't the best source to rely on.

If you don't mind Ballers, I might wait to continue posting. I'll hopefully find more information about this and post it here.
